Dr. Shira Racoosin, PT, DPT
Dr. Shira Racoosin is a physical therapist with a passion for empowering her patients through movement and education. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Movement Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, followed by a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The George Washington University. Committed to advancing her education, Shira completed an Orthopaedic Residency through Evidence in Motion and holds multiple certifications in Dry Needling from Myopain Seminars, as well as a Nutrition Certification from Precision Nutrition.
Shira’s journey into physical therapy was inspired by her lifelong love of science and exercise, combined with a deep appreciation for the human body. Her specialties include orthopedics, post-operative care, performance optimization, nutrition and recovery, and has an additional interest in stroke rehabilitation.
Shira believes in a collaborative approach to patient care, working closely with each individual to establish actionable and meaningful health goals. She deeply cares for her patients and encourages them to prioritize their health, improve their movement, and enjoy the journey of wellness.
